All masks should have:

1. Two layers of closed weave fabric.

2. Pocket for removable filter.

3. Comfortable and secure ties. This can be bias tape, elastic, or even cut from t-shirts.

GIVE

There are lots of ways to donate masks and support your community. Consider making masks for your neighbors and leaving them on your doorstep for safe, sanitary pickup. You can also check out our list of partners & resources to connect with those who are in need of masks in your community.

Resources

WEAR A MASK

Wear your mask in public spaces to help reduce the spread of infectious respiratory droplets. To normalize DIY masks, we encourage you to share photos of yourself wearing them & tag us at #ColoradoMaskProject

Always make sure your DIY masks are clean (a dirty mask might be worse than no mask), and never use a mask as an excuse to violate social-distancing orders.
